Estelle – Come Over Love

One day, I was watching a Reggae Show called Reggae-Top-Ten hosted by Suzie Q. That day, they were playing a lot of Dance-Hall kind of reggae so I reduce the volume (because I prefer Root-Rock or Lovers-Rock reggae). I was not concentrating when I heard a cool beat from the TV. I increase the volume and it was Estelle and Sean Paul singing a song ‘Come Over Love’.

Some few days later, I wanted to make a cubism collage where I would use shape to form an African woman’s face and I agreed to make Estelle from what I remember her face looked like (I know of Sean Paul before, but that was the first day I ever seen Estelle). I could never forget her lip particularly but I can’t even remember me making the collage because it was so fast (within 4 days) may be it was because I was singing the song in my heart while making the artwork.___________

Orange Color like Okro

An Original watercolor on card board. 4.0 x 3.7" in a 8x10" frame In where I live, Oranges are either green or yellow in color. When I was been taught the names of colors, I asked the teacher why Orange-colors were called Orange-color and, he did not know the right answer to give me. In my mind I said; teacher! Do not teach me nonsense!. . . . . It was later in life that I saw a picture in a book of a foreign orange and it was Orange-color. Then it made sense to me..... Okro is a vegi that is used to make soup.

Why Am I An Artist?

It is like a fulfillment of a fantasy/destiny when I make an artwork from scratch (from imagination or inspiration). My heart is filled with joy as you would feel if you got a happy news that you’ve been anxious to hear. So I am an endorphin ‘addict’ and, art gives me the ‘quick fix’ my soul needs (a healthy addiction that enables me to spent countless hours and days just to produce a pleasant artwork). Policy for commissioning a portrait

I have an art studio called Tugi’s. The artworks I place on my online gallery are just samples of what I make. I have made a lot of personalized portraits in my life time. I am unable to show the digital photo of many of my portrait-works because I respect the privacy of my Clients and would never want to post their pictures on the Internet without their permission. I post the portrait of celebrities and that of individuals who have no problem with the posting. . . Please, I would like to stress that if you commission a portrait, I would not release your image to the public without your knowledge (even though I own the copyright).

Chief Alamieyeseigha

His name sounds like the magical spell of a witch. He is a real-life cowboy. The present Vice president of Nigeria was his deputy governor. He was a British citizen while in power and was arrested for money laundry but escaped and returned to his state dressed as a woman (I guess the Scotland Yard has never met a real cowboy before)… His greatest mistake was the sin of arrogance. He felt arrogant enough to return to the government house after escaping from Britain and was arrested by the Nigerian Police. When a mad cow get loss, you equally send a mad man to catch it. He is in jail and lost all his assets and respect. Some say he got into trouble because he was no friend of the ‘Bigboys’ (political god-fathers+)…

Character is better than gold….

I believe in destiny (I also believe in taking advantage of opportunity) that is why I say: if you are out of destiny, you just can’t ‘click’. And vise-versa.

The government plays so many games. Do you know that in the year 2008, the government are talking about revitalizing a locomotive rail way system? Other countries are talking about electric train that are almost as fast as a speedy bullet, these guys are still struggling to complete a project they have been promising from ever since _______

Mummy-vile a Realm of Pity

If farm animals could commit suicide, I believe the farms would be much emptier because the animals would ask themselves; “There most be more to life than just vegetating, and mating”. If their master/shepherd does not take them to a land to grass, they would stave to death. They can not feed themselves. In their masters eyes, they are good for nothing except meet.
Above is a picture of a collage. It was made by: I first cut little pieces of black and white card-board and then gum them together to produce this image (of the back view) of a Fat-a*s-man who is sitting on an invincible chair folding his hands because he is waiting on god to deliver him (making no effort of his own). He thinks he is spiritual but, he does not know that negative-spirits are in charge of his life. He does not know that he is right were the tempter wants him to be. This image is actually representing the exact period when I was in this place of low reasoning. I make artworks like this as a personal reminder meaning: A visitor may look at it and not know what it means but each time I look at it, I am reminded that life is what you make it.

‘G’ is for Jesus

The tithe of this artwork tells something about the different opinion people have about Jesus Christ. G-is-for-Jesus . . . That G means something to some and another to others, for example: They call him God, Guru, Glutton, Good-Man and so on. . . Your opinion about Jesus tells something about your personality. . . As Jesus said; Who do men say that I am? He later said; There are a lot of things I would love to tell you but you are not ready to receive. I have many things to say to you but you are not ready for them.

You might not believe this but; I saw a comedian on television who was seriously suggestion that Jesus must have been a gay because he never married and he never preached a sermon against/about homosexuality.

Anew, The First Painting I made in 3 Years

Hello, Let me give a profile of myself.

I am Ife’ka Terry. I live in Northern-Nigeria where I started my career making portraits. Over the years, I have come to be known for my drawings, watercolor paintings and collages. My dad introduced me to a man I only know as ‘Old Ohaness’ who showed me a few ways to improve my drawing. That is were I acquired the skills I have in drawing and I later develop my skill through practices. My trademark watercolor and collage are both self taught. I was out of practice from 2004 – 2007 because of some personal issues (although I made a few artworks during 2004 and 2005 but I made non in 2007). Above is an artwork I made in April 2008 called ‘Anew’.

A new way of doing things, focused and motivated. That is why the image has only one ears for listening and only the right eyes for seeing. Self-discipline to be careful of what enters the mind to a stage were, not even the temptations of the world could be of distraction. That is why the world is behind. The heart is missing because it has been intentionally submitted to the God...

Colonization and the Colours of His Majesty; Emperor Haile Selassie I

At the horn of Africa there is a country called Ethiopia. Some say this is the only land in Africa that was never colonized. Emperor Haile Selassie was a direct descendant of the Biblical king Solomon and Queen of Sheba[I Kings Chapter 10, Verses 1] [II Chronicles Chapter 9, Verses 1]. She tried to test his divine Wisdom but Solomon (a perverted king) ended up using his wisdom to take advantage of her. . .

The story goes that the Queen of Sheba begged Solomon not to touch her and Solomon agreed under the condition that she would not touch anything in his palace. It was an oath of some sort. You see, Her Majesty was just coming from a long journey and later felt testy. She asked her Host (king Solomon) to please give her water to drink and he refused reminding her of the oath saying that she would have to drink from his cup. Anyway; to cut long story short, she later freed him of the oath and he did the same. She had her water and he had his way and the result was that she became pregnant and gave him a son. Twelve generation later; Emperor Haile SelassieI was born. I don’t really know much about His Majesty so I would live that alone. Anyway; His real name was Ras Tafari M. Does it sound familiar? Yeah! The God of the Rastafarian. I love Rasta’s but I don’t worship Selassie nevertheless, I still respect His Majesty (He was very intelligent and was one of the greatest speakers that ever lived). And as the scriptures says; ‘Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. For God, Honour the Emperor’ [I Peter Chapter 2 Verses 6-7]



Above is a photo of three of my Oil paintings called Selassia Tri(20.0x17.5 inches) May 2008. I would try to explain the symbolism of the colors starting from your left to right:

Africa SELASSIA TRI (African Version): The symbolic colors of Red (blood), Green ( land), Yellow (gold), Black (people). When put together, it looks militant and resolute...

Unity SELASSIA TRI (Unity Version): Black and White. As Emperor Haile Selassie said, 'we must overcome our petty prejudices, even if the weight of history is heavy, owing our ultimate dedication or allegiance not to any nation or country, but to our fellow men within the human community and become member of a new race, the true race: the human race.'
West SELASSIA TRI (Western Version): Red, White and Blue are the colors found in the French, Great Britain, and American flags. These nation and Potugal colonized Africa. Red, White, and Blue are found in the costume of Superman and one of these nation is the world superpower. If you look closely, you would discover that the image kind of looks like Santa Claus... That is how some Africans see these nations (as father Christmas and his aid).

Ethiopia is the only African country that was not colonized

Cherub, Holy Bible, and Some Trinity

According to the Bible; God usually has two Cherubs at both sides of his throne. If you observe the Ark of the Covenant you can see these winged creatures. They have the faces of a man, lion, ox, and eagle.

When God said “Let us create man in our own image” that ‘us’ was refereeing to 'three of us'.

Remember that Devil was a rebellious cherub and declared himself as good as the almighty. The fallen Archangel Lucifer wanted to be the greatestssssss.

When next you read you Bible, you should try to observe who was around when God made this comments:



“Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness” –[Genesis Chapter1, Verses26]

“Come, let us go down and there confuse their language” – [Genesis Chapter11, Verses7]

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us” – [Isaiah Chapter6, Verses8]


Some times I don’t know the difference between cherubim and seraphim. There are many other gods and goddesses who clearly call them self’s cherubim and seraphim.

Above is my drawing called Cherub (16x20inches) August 2008. I wanted to call it ‘Passport-of-a-Cherub’. The week I got the idea to paint a cherub, I didn’t know how to go about it until I saw an American monument (a rock or mountain) where three human faces was caved out of a huge rock. I wanted to paint it but then changed my mind at the last minute and drew it instead. The Original is for sale at:

Michael Jackson, Monstar Sacred.

The above is an image of Michael Jackson. I watched on the television as Gregory Peck called him that name ‘Monstar Sacred’. His live-performances looks like animations. He even looks virtual so the name fits him indeed (he bounds his soul into his music) and I have always loved his works from my high school years...
The photo you see above is a collage meaning I gummed little pieces of paper together to produce the image you see. Coated in fine-thin plastic making it look like a mosaic on Card-board paper (40 x 43 2/5 inches) 2005. Accompanied by an Aluminum Frame (silver color) custom made....
